Your Bio Page Is Now a Real Storefront

When we launched products a few days ago, the idea was straightforward: sell a digital file directly from your bio page, payment handled, download email sent automatically.

It worked. But it had limits.

You could only show one product per block. Products could not have images. And you needed Stripe connected just to create one.

All three of those limits are now gone.

Products with images

Every product now has an image field.

That seems small, but it changes how products feel on the page. A product card with a cover image — a mockup of your ebook, a preview of your template pack, a photo of the physical thing you are selling — reads like a real product, not just a title and a price.

Images are optional. If you skip the image, the block still works fine. But for anything with visual appeal, it is worth adding one.

Not everything you sell goes through Stripe.

Maybe you have a physical product on Etsy. A course on Teachable. A coaching package on your main website. Previously, those did not fit the Product Sale block — it was wired for Stripe payments only.

Now you can create a product with an external link instead of a price. The block shows the product with a button that opens the link. Your visitor lands on your shop, your booking page, wherever. No payment processing required on Selfbase's side.

This means the Product Sale block can now work as a visual product shelf, not just a checkout button. Mix paid digital products with links out to external shops if that is how your business works.

Multiple products, one block

You can now add multiple products to a single Product Sale block.

Drag them into whatever order makes sense. Each product gets its own button with its own label. The block supports a 1-column or 2-column layout depending on how many products you have and how you want them displayed.

For creators with a handful of templates, presets, or guides, this is the difference between a scattered list of buttons and a clean mini-store that sits right on your bio page.

What you can do with it now

The combined effect of these changes is that the Product Sale block handles a much wider range of situations:

  • Digital files — PDFs, templates, presets, ebooks, sound packs — with Stripe checkout and automatic download delivery
  • External products — physical goods, courses, services on other platforms — with a clean card and an outbound link
  • Mixed storefronts — some paid via Selfbase, some linked out — all in one block, one consistent look

Setting it up

Products live under Content → Products in your page admin. Create as many as you need, upload images, set prices or external links, and then pull them into a Product Sale block on your page.

For digital files with Stripe checkout, you still need a connected Stripe account (under Profile → Payments, PRO required). For external link products, no payment setup is needed — just a PRO plan.

The Selfbase angle

We think the bio page should be able to stand in for a simple storefront without making you maintain a second website.

That is not just about the checkout. It is about the shelf — how your products look, how many you can show, whether the presentation matches the effort you put into making the things.

These updates push the Product Sale block closer to that. It is not a full e-commerce platform. It is a focused, clean way to show and sell what you make, from the page your audience already knows.
