Your Bio Page Can Now Accept Tips and Sell Products
Selfbase now supports Tip Jar and Product Sale blocks. Creators can earn directly from their page — no separate store, no third-party tools.
For a long time, bio pages had one job: send traffic somewhere else.
Your audience taps a link. They land on your shop, your booking page, your newsletter sign-up. The bio page was always a stepping stone, never a destination.
That changes today.
Selfbase now supports two new blocks — Tip Jar and Product Sale — that let you accept money directly on your page. Your visitors do not need to go anywhere else. The transaction happens right there.
Tip Jar
The Tip Jar block lets your audience send you a tip in a few taps.
You set preset amounts — say €2, €5, €10 — and optionally allow custom amounts for visitors who want to give more. A button opens a simple payment modal. Card details in, payment sent. Done.
Useful if you are:
- a writer, podcaster, or creator who wants to let fans say thanks
- running a free resource or tool and want to offer an optional "buy me a coffee" moment
- doing open-source work or community projects that people find genuinely valuable
The Tip Jar does not require a product, a SKU, or a complicated setup. It is just a clean way to receive appreciation.
Product Sale
The Product Sale block lets you sell digital products directly from your page.
You create a product in the Products view — name, description, price, and the downloadable file. Then you add the Product Sale block to your page and connect it to that product. A visitor taps Buy now, pays, and receives a download link by email automatically.
Useful if you are selling:
- templates, presets, or design assets
- ebooks, guides, or PDFs
- stock photos, icons, or sound files
- courses, workshops, or digital bundles
No separate storefront needed. No Gumroad or Payhip account. Your bio page handles the sale.
How it works behind the scenes
Both features run on Stripe Connect. You connect your own Stripe account under Profile → Payments, and payments go directly to you. Selfbase takes a small platform fee — but the money lands in your account, not ours.
The download delivery is handled automatically. After a successful purchase, the buyer receives an email with a one-time download link. You do not need to manage any of that manually.
Getting started
Both blocks are available now in the block picker. Look for the Beta badge — they are live and working, just freshly shipped.
To accept payments you need:
- A PRO page on Selfbase
- A connected Stripe account (under Profile → Payments)
- A Tip Jar or Product Sale block added to your page
Once your Stripe account is verified and active, you are ready.
